This team of people are your staff and they are your greatest asset. The team includes yourself and your practice manager as the team leaders. The team needs to be lead and coached well. Your team needs to be empowered to implement change and strategise methods to improve practice procedures if they are to realise practice goals. They need to be creative, effective, innovative and communicative. A healthy work culture is paramount to ensure that your team remain dedicated and satisfied whilst carrying out their work. Happy staff equates to happy patients.

Often the ‘team’ are just too busy maintaining the day to day running of the practice to put systems in place effectively, change current procedures or even determine what needs to be changed to ensure the practice moves forward in a positive direction. We can look individually at who makes up your team and put strategies into place to empower each individual to work together and therefore create the environment that harnesses the culture of the team. We determine each team members strengths and weaknesses, determine how to utilise their strengths to create opportunity for the practice, or upskill their areas of weakness through training and education, self-enrichment programs and encourage task based initiative procedures to empower them to feel part of the team.
